We enjoy our lovely facility at 2800 Silverside Road where the congregation has spent 40 of its 180 years. We come there on a regular basis to learn, to ponder, to have fun, and sometimes to grieve.
Our Gatherings are held every Sunday morning at 10 year 'round. At 10 on Sunday mornings during the school year there is Sunday School for the children, and during the summer months at the same time there's recreation for the kids. Also, from September through May the choir rehearses on Thursday evenings in preparation to share music on Sundays. Piano lessons are given in our building, and we share our facility with other groups who are trying to make a positive difference in Wilmington including AA and support groups such as the ALS support group.
We celebrate together in Cline Hall as often as possible, and on Wednesday evenings except Wednesdays in August we have a meal together there at 6 p.m. and then at 7 a Forum presentation, which can focus on everything from films to TED talks to the lectures/discussions. Check the Events page of our site to see what's going on. We want everyone is who interested to feel free to come to either or both. It's a fine to arrive at either 6 or 7, and it's fine to leave at either 7 or 8. There is a nominal charge for the meal; there is never a charge for attending the presentation.
